Strong engagement of UGT in the field of hydrology
The international exhibition Wasser Berlin International was held from March 24-27 in Berlin. This exhibition was an important event for UGT to meet our clients from Germany and abroad. Altogether we have received at our booth in hall 3.2/stand 204 new clients from Europe, Asia, North-and South America and Africa.
Our team at the booth consisted of the Managing Directors Dr. Sascha Reth and Dr. Manfred Seyfarth as well as of our scientists – in this case our hydrologist Katja Weber and the head of strategic sales Kerstin Thomsen as well as our experienced field sales Manager Markus Reissig. We also represent in the field of water In-Situ and where happy to have among our team the Sales Manager Europe, Mr. Dieter Grieß. We offered at our booth to our clients our own highly innovative products like:
-Our new Multilyzer a further development of the Quicklyzer
– our very specialized Lysimeter technology
– groundwater – shuttle and sedimantation traps
– flow rate measurement equipment like flumes and tipping counters with data Loggers
– our soil moisture sensors with UMP-1 BT Plus
– the level measurement equipment:
With our big range of smarTROLL instruments from In- Situ we showed the public and our customers that UGT is not only a high quality producer but offers also customized solutions for projects in the field of water, soil and meteorology.
Our booth was also meeting point of our agents and partners – a workshop of ideas –
Our lounge at booth 204 hosted partners from universities and research centres and in the frame work of the meetings we initiated new projects – that can help to resolve tasks given by our customers. Therefore we will work focused and comprehensive.
We- the UGT team thank you dear visitors and partners again for having joined us at our booth, we are looking forward to the next meeting and will strive now to realize and fulfill the new challenges. Have a good and safe way home and lets’ keep in contact !
Already one week before we presented our new products at the “Tag der Hydrologie” in Bonn. Scientists of our branch met at the conference with a very interesting Agenda.

Workshop on the use for tools for the research on pedology and hydrology
Tuesday, 17th UGT and our partner in Rumania –Tehnoistrument and Kreaproject- organized a workshop for interested researcher on the use of tools for monitoring soil water relation. Respectively the lysimeter technique was one of the main topics of the discussion.
The participants could take the great opportunity to get knowledge about the world wide leading system of lysimeter excavation and the best innovations for monitoring soil water movements in lysimeters. Apart we present the leading technology of sap flow instruments from our friendly connected partners – ICTinternational/Australia.
UGT expands business in China
From Tuesday, 10th to Friday 13th Dr. Sascha Reth (Managing Director of UGT) and Kerstin Thomsen (Strategic Sales Manager of UGT) visited official representatives of the German economy in China. Very competent partners for consulting were the heads of the environmental departments of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Beijing and Shanghai. We learnt a lot about new initiatives and incentives of the Chinese ministry of economy and environment in the co-operation with Germany.

We also met ourselves familiar with the Research and Innovation Program CLEAN WATER in Shanghai. With our highly innovative products and customized solutions we picked the right point of time to further develop our activities in the Chinese market.
In narrow co-operation we worked together with our Chinese partners. We introduced our latest equipment and had a very productive exchange of experience. In further follow-up meetings – this could be in the margin of workshops, conferences and exhibitions – we will continue this dialogue.

Visit us at “Tag der Hydrologie 2015” in Bonn/Germany 19.03. – 20.03.2015. The conference aims the topic “Current challenges in the river basin and flood management“.
The next exhibition will be 1 week later at the “Wasser Berlin” 24.-27.03.2015. We are happy to present you the latest developments. You will find UGT in hall 3.2 /booth 204.
New Head of Sales Department
Today we are happy to announce that Kerstin Thomsen joined our team. Kerstin is responsible for the international market as well as strategic market. She has more than 20 years experience in international sales and is able to communicate in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. We are looking forward to a successful co-operation .

International Workshop on Soil Physical Processes in the Lab
From January 13th to 14th the workshop on Soil Physical Processes in the Lab took place at UGT in Freising. Altogether 65 participants from 11 countries took the perceived the possibility to get information about the newest technique in the field of soil physics. A highlight was the opening presentation by Prof. Rainer Horn, the actual president of the IUSS, as well as the presentation by Martine van den Ploeg, the SSSA Soil Physics Early Career Award Winner 2014
